Pigman Just One Stop on Alli’s Odyssey

Just a week after graduating from Kennedy High School in Cedar Rapids, Alli Koch will be doing her 6th Pigman Sprint.  A great accomplishment for an 18 year-old, but when you realize the Pigman is just one short leg on a 27-day, 2200 mile bike odyssey, you realize something special is going on.

The day after her high school graduation, Alli and her dad Dave (also a Pigman veteran) will drive to International Falls, Minnesota, where Alli will jump on her bike and ride to Brownsville Texas. She hopes to complete her trip on June 25.

Alli is raising funds for the American Heart Association.  Each night she’ll set up a booth in whatever community she stops to raise funds and awareness for the campaign.

The Pigman isn’t the only triathlon scheduled into her journey.  She’ll also compete in the IRP Sprint in Mansfield, Texas on June 19.
